Taco Bell's Fresco Menu

Fresco is a stylistic enhancement for various Taco Bell products in which the item's cheese and sauce is replaced by a healthier alternative. Originally, the replacement was Fiesta Salsa. Fiesta Salsa was renamed to Pico De Gallo, and was ultimately removed from the menu in 2020. Ordering Fresco Style now only adds tomatoes. Fresco-style items are said to contain up to 50% less fat than their non-Fresco counterparts.

Due to the low caloric content of red sauce, it is not removed from a fresco item. This makes it the only sauce still present on fresco items.

Fresco Menu[]

In 2003, Taco Bell introduced an entire menu of items served Fresco-style, all of which contain less than 9 grams of fat, including:

  • Fresco Crunchy Taco
  • Fresco Chicken Burrito Supreme
  • Fresco Beef Burrito Supreme
  • Fresco Bean Burrito
  • Fresco Soft Taco
  • Fresco Zesty Chicken Border Bowl
  • Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco
  • Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco

The Fresco Soft Taco with Beef has 7 grams fat, and 180 calories. The Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco has 4 grams fat, and 170 calories, and the Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco has 4.5 grams fat and 160 calories.

As of April of 2009, the Southwest Steak and the Zesty Chicken Border Bowls have been discontinued.
