The Enchirito at Taco Bell goes back as far as 1970. It is a burrito with beef, beans, scallions, a choice of either red chili sauce or green tomatillo sauce, and cheese. This popular item has been on and off the menu numerous times. It was discontinued in 2013.
Enchirito is the trademarked name of Taco Bell's menu item of the Tex-Mex food similar to an enchilada. It is composed of a flour tortilla filled with seasoned ground beef taco meat, beans, diced onions, and topped with cheddar cheese, and "red sauce”
A video for the Enchirito was made in the beginning of 2000 to start off Taco Bell's "Year of the Food."

The Enchirito made its return at the end of May 2023 as a limited time offer. This version consists of a smaller taco-sized tortilla rather than a full burrito, folded with beans and beef inside and topped with red sauce and cheddar cheese. It was taken off the menu mid-June 2023.
