Perhaps the only surviving photo of a Bean Burrito Especial. Dated March 23, 2005.

The Bean Burrito Especial was a burrito on the Big Bell Value Menu at Taco Bell. It featured double the amount of beans of a normal Bean Burrito, along with cheddar cheese, red sauce, onions, and the Creamy Jalapeno Sauce normally used in modern day Taco Bell quesadillas. It used the same 12-inch tortilla as the Grilled Stuft Burrito, and was folded the same manner, though this burrito was not actually grilled.

History Edit

The origins of the Bean Burrito Especial can be traced to September 28, 2004, with a forum post titled "Taco Bell's 99 cent Bean Burrito Especial".[1]

The only known photo of the Bean Burrito Especial was posted to blogspot on March 23, 2005, by user "veg-eating", who also gave a brief review of the burrito.[2]
